Top of the Annapurna Round, NepalAnnapurna Region- Introduction- Since it opened to foreign trekkers in 1977, the Annapurna region has become the most popular trek in Nepal.  The Annapurna Mountains are different, in that the border is well to the north so the Jomsom and Annapurna circuit treks both go north of the Himalayan watershed, into the high-altitude, dry, desert area which is characteristic of the Tibetan Plateau. The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is working to conserve the natural and cultural resources of the Annapurna area.
Annapurna circuit (Thorong –La Pass) Trekking – This trek takes 17 days and reaches a maximum height of 5416m at Thorong - La. The circuit is usually walked in anti-clock wise direction because clockwise is the longer ascent and shorter descent from west to east for the day of Throng-La pass at 5416m.
The trek starts from Beshisahar, Lamjung and ends in big touristic city Pokhara.  We have to fallow frist Marshyandi River and then Kaligandaki River. In this trekking, we can see Mountain Manaslu (8151m.), Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Gangapurna (7454m.), Khangsar (7485m.), Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tilicho (7134m), Chulu (6584m.) Annapurna mounatain rangeAnnapurna Base Camp (Annapurna Sanctuary) Trekking- it is a spectacular short trekking. It takes 10 days including Dhampus, Ghandruk Village and Ghorepani (Poonhill). This trek starts at rice fields and goes to glaciers and bottom of the high mountains at the height of 4100m. Although it has some steep climbs and crosses a few narrow bridges, the trek is not difficult. This trail follows Modi River, and has to cross other many rivers. The attraction of the trek is pleasant hike through the forest, bamboo and bushes, the hot spring, beautiful Gurung and Magar village, culture etc. We see many mountains that are Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Gangapurna (7454m.), Machhapuchhre (Fishtail 6997m.), Hiuchuli (66441m.), Gandarva Chuli, Tent peak, Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche, Nilgiri, Dhampus etc. That region is unique place for flora and fauna with beautiful Rhododendron (national flower of Nepal).

Jomsom  - Muktinath Trekking - This trek takes 11 days. It starts and ends in Pokhara. This area has been known for century, for pilgrims through the valley of the Kali Gandaki River to Muktinath, and the greater part of the rout was used by generations of traders on journeys to and from Mustang and Tibet. Still we find very old settlements in Kagbeni , Jharkot and other places .
The trekking trail follows the Kali Gandaki upstream through the world’s deepest valley. This mountain region also called rain shadow valley, and windy valley. Muktinath is pilgrimage place for Hindus and Buddhists religion. There are old monuments and statue, natural fire flame. Probably we find fossil at the bank of Kali Gandaki River.
Now this trek is being easier and takes shorter duration because of road access.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking - The classic Annapurna Circuit trek first became accessible to the world of adventure travelers as recently as 1977, when the Nepalese Government derestricted the Manang Valley, which had previously been closed on account of its proximity to the Tibetan border. Providing a combination of spectacular high mountain scenery, picturesque lowland farms and villages, a wealth of cultural interest and a challenging pass crossing, the Annapurna Circuit trek is justifiably popular. Having carefully reworked the itinerary, we can now offer this world-famous trek within a 3-week period. After a sightseeing day in colourful Kathmandu, we start out from Besisahar, ascending the surprisingly wild and unspoiled Marsyangdi Valley to reach the north side of the Annapurna Massif. In terms of its sheer scale, the valley of the Marsyangdi is surpassed only by the valley of the Kali Gandaki which we trek through on the second part of this exceptional trip.

Throughout our walk, we enjoy regular contact with friendly villagers, as well as everchanging panoramas of some of the world's greatest peaks, including Manaslu and the Annapurnas. Even from Pokhara, the views are tremendous, with Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna I and Manaslu dominating the northern skyline. Travelling from the Hindu-dominated farmland of Nepal's "middle hills" into the high alpine world on the north side of the Annapurnas, which is the domain of Tibetan Buddhism, this trip also offers exposure to the whole range of trekking environments for which Nepal is famous. Beyond the Tibetan Buddhist village of Manang, the high point of the trip is reached after a stamina-sapping ascent to the Thorung La (5416m.).
